About Shaly Foods
Shaly Foods Inc. imports fresh fruit and vegetables straight from growers and sells them by the case to shops, kitchens and distributors across Canada. We are a BC company, and we buy and cross-dock through The Produce Terminal in Vancouver.
Why we buy direct
Every business between the farm and the shelf adds a markup. We buy from the grower, so there are fewer of them. Stores pay less, and their customers can afford to buy more. That is why Shaly Foods exists.
Buying direct also lets us carry what most distributors skip: eight kinds of Egyptian mango, both colours of cactus pear, Shamshiri tea and Shirin Asal. For the lines everyone carries, we aim to bring the best version at the best price.
How we work
- Produce and grocery lines on one order, with a $300 to $500 minimum depending on your area.
- This week's prices sent the same day you ask, because they change every week.
- Orders taken 8am to 6pm, seven days a week, in English, Farsi, Arabic or Turkish.
- Our own refrigerated trucks in Metro Vancouver, and refrigerated freight to the rest of Canada.
- Wholesale accounts only. We do not sell to households.
