Two seasons from Egypt

Egypt runs two seasons, not one. Vegetables and strawberries land from winter into spring. Mango and the rest of the fruit land from summer into fall. The eight mango varieties have their own page: Egyptian mangoes.

Barhi dates: fresh, not dried

We bring fresh Barhi dates at the khalal stage: yellow, crisp and slightly astringent. That is a different product from the soft brown dates sold all year, and a customer asking for one will refuse the other.

Ordering
