Wholesale Mexican Produce, Shipped Canada-Wide

Shaly Foods buys red and yellow cactus pear, nopales, tomatillo, pasilla chilies, Mexican squash and fresh herbs from Mexican growers and sells them by the case to grocers, restaurants and distributors across Canada. Mexico is our steadiest origin, and most of its lines run wide windows rather than tight seasons, which makes them the base a grocer builds the rest of the year around.

Building a Mexican order

Shaly Foods buys direct from growers in Mexico. The range splits into three groups that suit a mixed order.

Cactus pear, red and yellow, is the fruit. Tomatillo, pasilla, nopales, Mexican squash, Romano beans and taro root are the vegetables. Mint, baby dill, tarragon, parsley and coriander are the fresh herbs.

Mixed pallets across our range count toward the minimum order, so a few lines from each group can ship together. The line sheet shows every item with its origin and names in four languages.

Delivery and minimum order

Metro Vancouver orders go on our own refrigerated trucks, on standing routes. Delivery there is included above the minimum unless your quote says otherwise. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba ship refrigerated as LTL or full pallets, and Ontario, Quebec and east ship refrigerated for standing volume accounts. The Prairies and Eastern Canada page covers those lanes.

The minimum is $300 to $500 per delivery, depending on your delivery area.

Ordering

Mexican produce sells wholesale only, by the case. Metro Vancouver runs on our own trucks and the rest of Canada ships refrigerated. Routes are on the shipping and delivery page, and how pricing works explains why prices come by price list rather than on the site.
