Wholesale BC Produce from Local Farms

Shaly Foods buys BC sour cherries, grey squash, white baby eggplant, pinto beans, Roma and grape tomatoes, Persian cucumber, green beans and strawberries from BC farms and sells them by the case to grocers, restaurants and distributors across Canada. Canada is our shortest trip: BC farms run a short season that overlaps the imported one, and BC sour cherries land within weeks of the Turkish crop and save the freight.

Prices move every week, so they are not on this page. Ask and we send this week's list the same day, with what is actually landing.

Buying BC produce with the rest of your order

Shaly Foods buys direct from growers, and in BC that means a short trip from farm to your store. Local items sit on the same price list as the imported lines.

Mixed pallets across our range count toward the minimum order, so BC items can ship with imported ones. The line sheet shows every item with its origin and names in four languages.

Delivery and minimum order

Metro Vancouver orders go on our own refrigerated trucks, on standing routes. The BC Interior and Vancouver Island have scheduled refrigerated routes. Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba ship refrigerated as LTL or full pallets, and Ontario, Quebec and east ship refrigerated for standing volume accounts.

The minimum is $300 to $500 per delivery, depending on your delivery area.

Ordering

BC produce sells wholesale only, by the case. Metro Vancouver runs on our own trucks and the rest of Canada ships refrigerated. Routes are on the shipping and delivery page, and how pricing works explains why prices come by price list rather than on the site.
